Reality Check

Who I really I am:

  • I am the challenge to the norm. I challenge the norm by being myself.
  • I believe in the power of knowledge.
  • I set my expectations too close to perfection.
  • I strive to exceed my own expectations.
  • I am very sensitive to being treated as inferior or being stereotyped.
  • I view failure as a learning opportunity.
  • I am not afraid of responsibility.
  • I am motivated by challenge.
  • I believe that it is important to be adaptive – to the situation, to the person in front of you, to the goal, to life itself.
  • I have a high need for achievement.
  • I need to know why things are the way they are.
  • I am afraid of rejection.
  • I do not care to fit in.
  • I want you to like me, but ultimately it is more important for me to be myself.
  • I realize I will never be able to please everyone.
  • I believe that most people are inherently good.
  • I have a strong work ethic.
  • I do not compromise my morals and values.
  • I believe in doing the right thing.
  • I don’t judge.
  • Patience is not my virtue.
  • I view change as a sign of progress – an opportunity for improvement.
  • I am a huge proponent of common sense.
  • I believe in order, control and discipline.
  • I pursue interests and things that have depth.
  • I believe that leaders are developed, mentored, taught – not born.
  • I am not a feminist, but I do not yield to a man.
  • I have a large personal space.
  • I don’t ask for understanding, only acceptance.
  • I can sell you confidence, but sometimes I am terrified of what life has molded me into.
